Data analysis is increasingly important to HR professionals. The systems below are designed to provide information for campus HR leadership and staff.

HR DataMart

HR DataMart is a record of human resources data UNC system-wide. Each constituent institution sends a data file to UNC System Office on a monthly basis. This system collects a snapshot of personnel data; it does not contain all personnel transactions completed across the system. The UNC System Office uses this data for many University data requests; however, certain data requests may require additional information to be provided by individual institutions.

Access to HR DataMart is limited to HR professionals in the UNC System and other key state constituencies.

Compensation Database

The UNC Compensation Database (“Comp Database”) in an online tool for constituent institutions to transmit classification and compensation actions to UNC System Office Human Resources for review and approval as required by policy.

Access to the Comp Database is limited to HR professionals in the UNC System, the Office of State Human Resources, and the UNC Board of Governors.

ORP Database

The UNC Optional Retirement Program Database (“ORP Database”) in an online tool for constituent institutions to transmit enrollment, employment termination and retirement actions to UNC System Office Human Resources for review and approval as required by policy.

Access to the ORP Database is limited to HR/Benefit professionals in the UNC System Office and constituent institutions.
